100 mg of 2-(6-chloro-3-methoxy-pyridazin-4-yl)-indole-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester is dissolved in 5 ml dimethoxythane and 75 mg of N-bromosuccinimide is added. The solution is stirred at RT for 16 h. The resulting solution is used in the subsequent reaction without further purification.
