Reaction Steps

A solution of 23 (46 mg, 0.065 mmol) and methyl N-(triethylammoniumsulphonyl)carbamate (Burgess reagent, 62 mg, 0.26 mmol) in benzene (0.9 mL) was heated at 50° C. After 1 h, the reaction was quenched by addition of H2O and the resulting mixture was extracted with dichloromethane (3×20 mL). The combined organic solution was washed with brine and then was dried (Na2SO4), filtered and evaporated. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel (ethyl acetate/hexanes) gave compound 24 (31 mg, 68%).
