Using the method in Example 167 and reagents cis-7-methyl-1,4-dioxa-spiro[4.5]dec-8-ylamine (Preparation 44) (2.3 g, 13.4 mmol) and 4-oxo-4-(2-oxo-oxazolidin-3-yl)-butyraldehyde (2.3 g, 13.43 mmol) yields 2.49 g (77%) of the title compound as a white solid. 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 4.05-4.12 (m, 1H), 3.81-3.93 (m, 4H), 3.44 (t, 2H), 2.23-2.35 (m, 3H), 1.51-1.98 (m, 8H), 0.94 (d, 3H).
