Procedure
Using the procedure of Step B of Example 36, 3 g of 1S-hydroxy-2-methyl-3-allyl-4-methylene-cyclopent-2-ene and 3 g of the product of Step A were reacted and after chromatography over silica gel with benzene containing 1‰ triethylamine as the eluant, 2.063 g of (1S) 2-methyl-3-allyl-4-methylene-cyclopent-2-ene-1-yl (1R, cis) 2,2-dimethyl-3-ethenyl-cyclopropane-carboxylate with a specific rotation of [α]D20 =-31.5°±2° (c=0.7% in chloroform) were obtained.
