To a mixture of free based 8-bromo-6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine from Example 1, step 1b (100 mg, 0.35 mmol) in THF (1.0 ml) was added p-cyanoaniline (42 mg, 0.35 mmol) and a 1.0 M solution of KOt-Bu in THF (3.0 eq, 1.05 ml, 1.05 mmol). The mixture was allowed to heat at 50° C. for 1 hour. The solution was then concentrated in vacuo to dryness to provide 4-(6-chloro-7-methylimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-8-ylamino)benzonitrile as a solid m/e 284 (MH+)
