Reaction Steps
To a solution of 2.1 g of 2-amino-4-methoxy-6-methylamino-1,3,5-triazine in 60 ml of hot acetonitrile was added, dropwise, 3.3 g of 2-chlorobenzenesulfonylisocyanate in 20 ml of acetonitrile. After stirring for 18 hours at room temperature, the mixture was filtered to yield the product named above melting at 224°-228°.
