35 mg of 5-chloro-N-(4-cyclopropyl-benzyl)-2-[methyl-(2,2,2-trifluoro-acetyl)-amino]-N-[2-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-benzamide were dissolved in 1 ml methanol and 0.06 ml 1N aqueous NaOH and heated to 55° C. for 5 hours. The mixture was then concentrated in vacuo, diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water and brine. The organic phase was dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered off and concentrated in vacuo, to give 28 mg (96%) 5-chloro-N-(4-cyclopropyl-benzyl)-2-methylamino-N-[2-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-benzamide as a light yellow viscous oil.
