N-(1-Acetyl-3,3-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-6-yl)-2-({2-[2-(1-methyl-piperidin-4-yl)-ethoxy]-pyridin-4-ylmethyl}-amino)-nicotinamide (300 mg, Example 871) was dissolved in conc. HCl (20 ml) and EtOH (20 ML) and heated at 70° C. for 4H. The mixture was concentrated and the residue was diluted with sat'd NaHCO3 and CH2Cl2. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated to obtain the desired compound. M+H 515. Calc'd for C30H38N6O2: 514.
