Procedure
5 g of product obtained in Stage A are heated to reflux for 2 hours with 5 g of sodium acetate in 50 cm3 of acetic anhydride. The mixture is cooled to room temperature and evaporated to dryness, the residue is taken up in 50 cm3 of water and dried and 4.4 g of expected product are obtained. M.p. 105°-108° C. after chromatography on silica (eluent: ethyl acetate/n-hexane, 1:1). After crystallization in isopropanol, 3.2 g of pure product are obtained. M.p. 110°-111° C.
