This material was synthesized from 1-(3,5-dimethoxy-4-n-tetradecanylphenyl)-2-phenylethene and BBr3 by the same method as described in example 6. 1HNMR (CDCl3, ppm): δ 0.95 (m, 6H), 1.30 (m, 22H), 2.65 (m, 2H), 4.80 (s, 2H), 6.60 (s, 2H), 7.00 (s, 2H), 7.26 (m, 1H), 7.36 (m, 2H), 7.52 (m, 2H).
