Reaction Steps
A similar procedure starting with 3-(R)-(-)-(1-cyano-1,1-diphenylmethyl)-1-tosylpyrrolidine (19.5 g-see Preparation 6(C)), gave 3-(R)-(-)-(1-cyano-1,1-diphenylmethyl)pyrrolidine, yield 9.5 g, [α]D25 -9.8° (c 1.0, CH2Cl2).
