Reaction Steps
A mixture of (1-tert-butoxycarbonylpiperidine-4,4-diyl)dimethanol, 4M HCl-dioxane solution and MeOH was stirred for two hours at room temperature to give piperidine-4,4-diyldimethanol hydrochloride.
