The title compound was prepared essentially as in Example 1 by combining 5-hexyloxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)pyrimidine (8.0 g, 29.4 mmol) and 5-(2-(2-(nonafluorobutoxy)tetrafluoroethoxy)-2,2-difluoroethoxy)-1-bromopentane (18.6 g, 32 mmol, Example 2). The resulting crude product was isolated and further purified essentially as described in Example 1 (b.p. 210°-25° C. at 0.3 torr).
