2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-benzoic acid (compound 204 1.6 g; 0.00454 mole), tetrahydrofuran (50 ml) and diimidazolecarbonyl (0.92 g; 0.0057 mole) are introduced into a 100 ml flask. The mixture is stirred at 20° C. for 2 hours. Morpholine (1 ml; 0.0113 mole) is then added and the mixture is maintained under stirring for six hours. The reaction mixture is poured into distilled water (150 ml) and the precipitate is filtered, washed with water (100 ml) and then dried in the air. 2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-morpholinocarbonylbenzene (1.3 g; yield: 68.4%) in thus obtained in the form of a white solid of m.p. 153° C. (compound 201).
