Reaction Steps

To a suspension of 3-(4-phenylsulfamoyl-phenyl)-acrylic acid (43a) (0.25 g, 0.82 mmol) in dichloromethane (4.7 ml) oxalyl chloride (0.32 ml, 3.68 mmol) and one drop of dimethylformamide were added. The reaction mixture was stirred at 40° C. for one hour and concentrated under reduced pressure to give crude title compound (0.24 g, 92%).
