Reaction Steps
To a solution of 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)piperidine (10 mg) in acetonitrile (2 ml), was added potassium carbonate (10 mg) and 1-iodoethane (5 mg) and the mixture was heated to 140° C. in a sealed tube under microwave radiation for 400 s. MS m/z (rel. intensity, 70 eV) 258 (M+, 11), 257 (18), 256 (14), 244 (66), 242 (bp).
