The title compound was prepared following the procedure described for 4a using 7-chloro-4-hydroxy-[1,6]naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (11). 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ (ppm): 1.47 (3H, t, J=7.14 Hz), 4.53 (2H, q, J=7.14 Hz), 8.02 (1H, s), 9.37 (1H, s), 9.62 (1H, s). m/z 272.2 (MH+).
