5-Chloro-2-(methylthio)pyrimidine-4-carbohydrazide (8.28 g, 38.0 mmol) and 4-fluoro-phenyl isothiocyanate (5.811 g, 38.0) were added to a 1 liter flask. A minimal amount of EtOH was added, just to ensure proper mixing. This suspension was stirred at room temperature overnight. The EtOH was removed under vacuum to give 13.5 g (95% yield) of product as a light yellow solid. MS (M+H)+ 372.
