A solution of (R)-1-{3-[{3-[2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl-pyridin-4-yl-amino)-ethoxy]-5-chloro-benzoyl}-(2-fluoro-phenyl)-amino]-propyl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester and (R)-1-[3-(2-fluoro-phenylamino)-propyl]-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid tert butyl ester (0.110 g) in trifluoroacetic acid (5 ml) for 18 h and then the solvent removed under reduced pressure. The residue was subjected to preparative hplc to give the title compound (0.027 g) as a colourless gum by concentration of the required fraction under reduced pressure and drying by repetitive addition of acetonitrile and concentration under reduced pressure.
