In a similar manner to that described in Example (1c), a solution of 3-[(4-methoxyphenyl)-(3-phenylpropylamino)methyl]phenylamine (2.02 g) [prepared as described in step (b) above] in methanol (40 ml) and 3,4-dimethoxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione were reacted, to afford the title compound (1.82 g) as yellow foamy solid.
