Procedure

Following a similar procedure to that described in Example (1b), 3.17 go N-[1-(3,4-difluorophenyl)propyl]-N-[(4-methoxyphenyl)-(3-nitrophenyl)methyl]amine [prepared as described in step (a) above], 3.66 g, of nickel chloride hexahydrate and 1.17 g of sodium borohydride were reacted, to obtain 2.76 of the title compound as a pale yellow oil.
