Five percent Pd/BaSO4 (50 mg) was added to a solution of 3-benzyloxy-1-ethyl-6-fluoro-7-morpholino-1H-quinazoline-2,4-dione (Example G, 0.23 g, 0.58 mmol) in 70 mL of THF and 5 mL methanol. The mixture was shaken under 50 PSI of hydrogen for 16 hours, filtered, and concentrated to afford 0.17 g of the title compound as a solid, mp 162-163° C.
