Experimental conditions analogous to those described for Step 3 of Example 1, from 71 mg (0.24 mmol) 3-(5,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3-carbonyl)-6-fluoro-1H-quinolin-4-one, 12 mg (0.29 mmol) of 60% sodium hydride, 53 mg (0.29 mmol) of 2-bromomethyl-6-methyl-pyridine and 1 mL of N,N-dimethylformamide. Yield: 67 mg of a white solid: LC-MSD, m/z for C24H20FN3O2 [M+H]+=402.1; HPLC retention time: 0.7 min.
