A mixture of methyl 1-(1-((5-cyclopropyl-6-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-isopropoxypyridin-3-yl)methyl)piperidin-4-yl)-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-4-carboxylate (189 mg), a 1 M aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (1.5 mL), and ethanol (3 mL) was stirred at 70 C for 1 hour. The obtained reaction mixture was neutralized with 1 M hydrochloric acid and stirred overnight at room temperature. The resulting solid was collected by filtration and recrystallized (ethanol/ethyl acetate) to obtain the title compound (91 mg).
