Maleic acid (111 mg) was added to a solution of 1-(1-((6-cyclopropyl-2,4′-difluoro-3-isopropoxybiphenyl-4-yl)methyl)piperidin-4-yl)-3-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-4-carboxylic acid (513 mg) in ethanol (5 mL) at room temperature. The mixture was stirred at the same temperature under nitrogen atmosphere for 1 hour and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was crystallized from ethyl acetate-hexane to give a colorless solid. The solid was recrystallized from ethanol-heptane to give the title compound (573 mg).
