Reaction Steps
Isopropyl amine (3 mL) is added to a solution of 1-fluoro-2-nitrobenzene (500 mg, 3.55 mmol) in ethanol. The reaction may be stirred at room temperature overnight and concentrated. The residue may be purified, for example by Biotage column chromatography to give N-isopropyl-2-nitroaniline (590 mg).
