Following the general method as outlined in Example 6 Step 1, starting from 6-fluoro-1-(phenylsulfonyl)-3-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1H-indole (Intermediate 5; 683 mg; 2.00 mmol) and methyl 2-methyl-3-((methylsulfonyl)oxy)propanoate (588 mg; 3.00 mmol), 341 mg (39%) of the title compound was obtained as a colorless oil after purification by a silica gel chromatography (petroleum ether/EtOAc=3/1 to 2/1).
