Reaction Steps

To a solution of 5-fluoro-2-nitroaniline (2.00 g) and tert-butyl ((2S)-1-hydroxypropan-2-yl)carbamate (2.25 g) in DMF (50 mL) was added sodium hydride (60% in oil, 0.564 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 10 min. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, and washed with saturated brine. The obtained organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate) to give the title compound (1.75 g).
