The title compound was prepared in 11% yield from methyl 2-(1-{2-[(methylsulfonyl)oxy]ethyl}-1H-imidazol-4-yl)pyridine-4-carboxylate (PREPARATION 6) and 4-cyanoisoindoline hydrogen chloride according to the procedure for the preparation of Example 58. 1HNMR (400 MHz, DMSO): δ 3.13 (2H, t, J=6.0 Hz), 4.03 (2H, s), 4.13 (2H, s), 4.23 (2H, t, J=4.5 Hz), 7.41 (1H, d, J=7.6 Hz), 7.55 (2H, m), 7.66 (1H, d, J=5.7 Hz), 7.80 (1H, s), 7.87 (1H, s), 8.26 (1H, s), 8.57 (1H, d, J=4.9 Hz).
