Reaction Steps
To a stirring solution of (rac)-[ethyl(3-{[5-fluoro-4-(4-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl)pyrimidin-2-yl]-amino}benzyl)oxido-λ6-sulfanylidene]cyanamide (230 mg; 0.52 mmol) in DCM (23.1 mL) at 0° C., TFAA (0.55 mL; 3.89 mmol) was added. The mixture was allowed to react at RT for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated, taken up in MeOH (3.6 mL) and treated with potassium carbonate (358 mg; 2.58 mmol). The mixture was allowed to react at RT for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and THF and washed with saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution. The organic phase was filtered using a Whatman filter and concentrated. The residue was purified by chromatography (DCM/EtOH 4:1).
