Reaction Steps

A mixture of 2-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-4-methyl-thiazole-5-carboxylic acid (1-pyridin-3-yl-cyclohexylmethyl)-amide (2.45 g) and TFA (10 mL) in methylene chloride (10 mL) is stirred at RT for 2 h and concentrated in vacuo. Water is added to the residue and the mixture is basified with Na2CO3 solution and extracted with EtOAc. The extract is washed with brine, dried and concentrated in vacuo to afford the title compound.
