Reaction Steps

To a 10-20 mL microwave irradiation vial equipped with a stir bar was added compound 4b (0.21 g, 0.54 mmol) in 1,2-dichlorobenzene (10 mL). The reaction was irradiated with stirring at 180° C. for 45 min until complete by TLC (AcOEt/n-hexane 2:8). The solution was directly added to a silica gel column, which was eluted with n-hexane to separate the 1,2-dichlorobenzene and then AcOEt/n-hexane 2:8 to collect the pure product. The title compound was isolated as a light yellow solid in a 47% yield (0.098 g).
