From 33.74 g (0.169 mol) of 5-(o-fluorophenyl)-2,3-dihydro-3,3-dimethyl-2-oxo-1H-1,4-benzodiazepine-7-carbonitrile there is obtained in analogy to paragraph (h) of Example 1 7-acetyl-5-(o-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-3,3-dimethyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one of melting point 206°.
