Procedure
A mixture of 1.8 g. of 4,5-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-2-(trifluoromethylthio)pyrrole and 25 ml. of acetic anhydride was heated at reflux with stirring under nitrogen for 2 days and then concentrated under vacuum. The residue was purified by chromatography on Silic AR CC-7 (eluting with hexane and then hexane/toluene) to give 400 mg. of a colorless solid product. Recrystallization from ethanol/H2O gave an analytical sample, m.p. 75°-76° C.
