Procedure
A stirred solution of 10 g (0.02 mole) of the end product of Example 2 and 2 g (0.026 mole) of thiourea in 60 ml of ethanol, protected by a drying tube, was refluxed for 1 hr. The yellow solution was poured over ice and diluted with water. The pale yellow solid was collected by filtration, washed with water and air dried on the funnel to give the end product. Recrystallization of a sample from methanol/methylene chloride solution gave pale yellow crystals: mp 253°-255° C.
