Reaction Steps
HCl gas was rapidly bubbled through a solution of 1-7 (2.5 g, 8.6 mmol) in EtOAc (100 ml) at 0° C. for 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, the solution was purged with argon for 30 minutes. The solution was concentrated and then azeotroped with CH3CN to give the amine 1-8 as a yellow solid.
