Procedure

A solution of the title compound of Example 94 (0.393 g), pyridine (3 mL), and Pd/C (10%, 80.0 mg) in 3:1 CH2Cl2 :MeOH is maintained under an atmosphere of H2 (balloon) for 3 hrs. More Pd/C (10%, 40 mg) is added and the reaction mixture is placed under the Parr hydrogenator at 25 psi H2 for an additional 3 hrs. The reaction mixture is filtered over celite. The filtrate is condensed and then placed under high vac to remove residual pyridine. The crude product is recrystallized with EtOAc/hexanes to afford 0.218g of the desired product as a tan solid.
