From 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzyl alcohol (5.1 g; 26 mmol) and 5-amino-4-oxopentanoic acid hydrochloride (1.0 g; 6.0 mmol). The reaction was complete after 6 days at 100° C. The yield was 0.25 g (13%). Mp 146-148° C.
