A mixture of 7,8-dimethoxy-10,11-dihydrodibenzo[b,f]oxepin-10-one (5 mg) and pyridine hydrochloride (20 mg) was heated at 190° C. for two hours. Water was added to the reaction mixture followed by extracting with ethyl acetate. This was washed with water and dried over magnesium sulfate and the solvent was evaporated to give the title compound (Compound 13) (3 mg, 60%) as brown plates.
