Prepared from (6-methyl-2-p-tolyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)-acetic acid methyl ester 35a and benzo[b]thiophene-2-carbonyl chloride using the procedure of Method C described above. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 2.31 (s, 3H), 2.42 (s, 3H), 4.68 (s, 2H), 7.04 (d, J=9.1 Hz, 1H), 7.29 (d, J=7.7 Hz, 2H), 7.37 (t, J=7.7 Hz, 1H), 7.44 (5.8 Hz, 1H), 7.56 (m, 3H), 7.70 (m, 2H), 7.83 (m, 2H). Mass spectrum (m/e) 397 (M+).
