(3S)-1-(Benzyl)-3-isopropylpiperazine (358 mg) was dissolved in acetic acid (10 mL), and to the solution 10% palladium on carbon (40 mg) was added, and the mixture was then stirred at 50° C. under a hydrogen atmosphere for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (chloroform:ammonia-saturated methanol=20:1) to obtain the title compound.
