The title compound was prepared as a clear oil by reduction of 4-(1-Ethyl-prop-2-ynylamino)-6-methyl-2-(2,4,6-trimethyl-phenoxy)-nicotinic acid with lithium aluminum hydride and aluminum chloride. 1H NMR(CDCl3) d 6.87(s,2H), 6.08(s,1H), 5.7-5.9(m,1H), 5.1-5.3(m,2H), 3.75-4.0(m,2H), 2.30(s,3H), 2.16(s,3H), 2.15(s,3H), 2.08(s,6H), 1.70(m,2H), 1.03(t,3H)ppm.
