This compound was made in an analogous manner to the compound of Example 5 from 2,4-diamino-5-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)pyrimidine (Example 21). The reaction gave a mixture of the 4-nitro and 5-nitro derivatives from which the title compound was separated by column chromatography (SiO2, EtOAc), mp. 237°-9° C. Also separated in this manner was 2,4-diamino-5-(2,3-dichloro-5-nitrophenyl)pyrimidine, mp. 264°-6° C.
