N-(4-chloro-3-methyl-5-isoxazolyl)-2-[(4-methoxy-2-methylphenyl)aminocarbonyl]thiophene-3-sulfonamide was prepared by the method set forth for N-(4-chloro-3-methyl-5-isoxazolyl)-2-[(2-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)aminocarbonyl]thiophene-3-sulfonamide (EXAMPLE 150), except that 4-methoxy-2-methylaniline was used instead of 2-amino-5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole and that pyridine was not used. The title compound was obtained via HPLC purification as a dull yellow powder (66% yield, m.p. 58°-62° C.).
