A solution of 10.0 g (42.0 mmoles) of the product of Example 1 in 50 ml of N-aminomorpholine was heated to reflux for 10 minutes. The clear solution deposited crystals on cooling. This mixture was diluted with water (100 ml) and a white, crystalline solid was collected, washed with water, and air-dried to give 8.47 g of 2,10-dihydro-10-(4-morpholinyl)imidazo[2,1-b]quinazolin-5(3H)-one. Melting point 250°-251° C. Total yield 74%. This compound exhibits the following formula ##STR5##
