The title compound (3.5 g, 75.5%) was prepared from 1-iodo-4-phenoxy-benzene (3.9 g, 13.1 mmol) and 1-Boc-piperazine (2.5 g, 13.1 mmol) by the procedure described in step 1 of Example 4: MS (ESI) m/z 355 (M+H); 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.49 (s, 9H), 3.08 (t, J=4.8 Hz, 4H), 3.59 (t, J=4.8 Hz, 4H), 6.90-7.09 (m, 7H), 7.27-7.32 (m, 2H).
