Reaction Steps

A mixture of the compound from step 2 (52 mg, 0.13 mmol), Pd(OH)2/C (20%, 5 mg) and methanol (3 mL) was stirred at ambient temperature under hydrogen (1 atm) for 24 h. The reaction mixture was filtered and the solvent was removed under vacuum to furnish the title compound (29 mg, 78.5%) as an off-white oil: MS (ESI) m/z 285 (M+H); 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 2.31 (s, 3H), 3.12 (m, 4H), 3.16 (m, 4H), 6.85 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 2H), 6.89-6.95 (m, 4H), 7.11 (dd, J=0.8, 8.0 Hz, 2H).
