1 N aqueous NaOH solution (2.9 mL) was added to the solution of 2 (100 mg, 0.29 mmol) in MeOH (10 mL). The mixture was stirred at 70° C. for 1 h. The solvent was evaporated to give a crude product, which was purified by silica gel column chromatography using CH2Cl2/MeOH (3:1, v/v) to afford 3 (110 mg, 98%) as a white powder. mp 128-130° C.;
