28 g of gelatin and 13.2 g of benzotriazole were dissolved in 3,000 ml of water, and this solution was stirred while being kept at 40° C. A solution of 17 g of silver nitrate in 100 ml of water was added to this solution for 2 minutes, then the pH of the solution was adjusted to flocculate and remove excess salts. Then, the pH was adjusted to 6.0 to obtain 400 g of a benzotriazole silver salt emulsion.
