Procedure

1-(4-chloro-5-(4-(1-methylcyclopropyl)piperazin-1-ylsulfonyl)indolin-1-yl)-2,2,2-trifluoroethanone was dissolved in 1 N sodium methoxide solution in methanol. The mixture was heated to 60° C. The reaction mixture was then concentrated in vacuo and the solid residue was purified by chromatography to give the title compound. 1H NMR (500 MHz, CHLOROFORM-d) δ ppm 0.32-0.33 (m, 2 H) 0.49 (br s, 2 H) 1.02 (s, 3 H) 2.67 (br s, 4 H) 3.09 (t, J=8.73 Hz, 2 H) 3.14 (br s, 4 H) 3.71 (t, J=8.71 Hz, 2 H) 6.38 (d, J=8.40 Hz, 1 H) 7.63 (d, J=8.35 Hz, 1 H).
